For any economy to be considered as vibrant, the employment sector must be sufficiently active. That means there should be jobs available for people ready to do them. While some jobs need skill to be performed, others just need availability and commitment.  However, what is important is that the job should be performed and whoever did it, paid. The ripple effect is that there is livelihood guaranteed when there is employment.

And so with the employment sector doing well, there is certainty that the economy would grow. The United States for instance is a good example of an economy that waxes on strong, thanks to employment.

Good to know that the employment rate in the United States increased to 61 percent in September from 60.90 percent in August of 2019. Employment Rate in the United States averaged 59.35 percent from 1950 until 2019, reaching an all-time high of 64.70 percent in April of 2000 and a record low of 55 percent in July of 1954.

By and large, the recent increase from 61 percent from 60.90 within the last few weeks is something to write home about. This can be translated as hope – hope that there are jobs and hope there m

ore jobs are on the way. This is a great indication that the economy is on the move.

Day-in, day-out, companies and other outfits rise with many openings for jobs. Even when one would be thinking at times that there are limited

work positions, you would be surprised that there is always a high need of workers in countless companies.

It suffices to go online and notice the thousands of job positions being advertised.

However, in as much as the opportunities are vast, getting a job or getting the right one or a commensurate one, at the right time and even the right place, could be a major challenge, even when you are qualified.

Again, even when you have found your dream job open for grabs, getting it could still be an issue. What about have the subject matter and the ability to deliver but lacking the charisma to defend yourself in the interview. Why would a well-trained potential workers find it hard to get a job? Or better still why would a competent and highly qualified worker earn far less than what he offers?

That is where staffing agencies come into play. They answer all these questions and even more. They recruite staff for emplyers in need, but also prepare such staff to perform well and succeed in the job. One of such agencies is Cardinal Staffing, a Columbus, Ohio-based outfit which certainly would have been created to accompany employers in the task of getting emplyees. So, when was it created? Whose idea was it? What has been its track record? These and more will be looked into in today’s edition of the show. Diane Louangrath and Geoggrey Haakantu are CEO and Executuve Vice Preside respectively of ardinal Staffing Solutions.

Editorial: Worth a radio show!
By Ernest Kanjo
A scholar said Literature is life. What he meant was that in Literature, you can find everything in life and about life.
In Literature, if we look at it as a subject of study, you would find Mathematics.
In Literature, you would find Physics…
In Literature, you would find Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Civics.
In Literature, you would even find Computer Science, Aeronautics, Medicine and what have you…
Literature tells the stories of life – the good, the bad and the ugly.
In a nutshell Literature is an embodiment of life.
However, there is a side of Literature that makes this discipline amazingly great – that fact that Literature is just a world, not meant to harm, even when it can spur emotions by telling some truths. Again, such truths told by Literature are intelligently put in a way that does not call for any alarm.
So, if Literature fits your head by telling the story of your unruly attitude, wear its cap.
If Literature fits your feet by telling the story of your oppressive attitude, wear its shoes.
If Literature fits your fingers by telling the story of your hypocrisy, wear its gloves.
If Literature fits your eyes by telling the story of your nonchalance towards the less privilege, put on its glasses.
One branch of Literature that cuts across and is a clear example of the above description, is poetry. Poetry is literary work in which special intensity is given to the expression of feelings and ideas by the use of distinctive style and rhythm; poems collectively or as a genre of literature.
For one thing, it is naturally the most beautiful branch of Literature, thanks to its color, aromatic flare and you name it. For some reason, poetry appeals to our sense of love, belonging, care and so on.
Apex 1 Radio, just as any other platform that promotes art, got caught up in this aromatic flare of poetry and the quickest response was to conceive a show that celebrates this form of Literature. A form of Literature that is usually not given the attention it deserves, even when its impact is adequately strong.
That is how Apex Anthology was born and the show saw the light of day on February the 24th this year. UK-based poet Iggy Mizuh and author of HATE ME TO KNOW ME became the pioneer guest on the show. After him, we have had other poets provide their inputs on Apex Anthology including Eric Ngalle Charles, Leslies Maya, Lydie Mulu, Ameaka Fatima and Dr Focho Gladys. A couple of editions down the road, we took a short break, time to evaluate work done so and so back on the airwaves, we are bringing back some of our past guest poets to evaluate themselves on the show, evaluate the show production team, but most especially, say what can be done to improve on Apex Anthology.
Apex Anthology is a show that takes us on a journey into the world of poetry and into the lives of poets. On the show, we shall present poems, recite them, poetically appreciate them, talk to poets and promote poetic works.
And so welcome to this come-back edition of the show reaching you from Apex 1 Radio – here comes Apex Anthology!
My name is Ernest Kanjo – this show is produced by Marcel Adig.
Sharon Dione is co-host and will be in-charge of the décor plus recitals…
Ken Shally Monnette is our poetic appreciation resource lead….
Our guest poets toda are Iggy Mizuh, Eric Ngalle Charles and Lydie Mulu…

Apex Anthology – Sept. 15, 2019

That the world is still existing today, could rightfully be interpreted that it was created on the foundation of love. From every indication, its creator use the love material to erect this edifice called the world. And it is simple to understand – just the fact that God created us, shows how much He loves us. To move forward, His love is the reason we are able to rise every blessed day and are able to breath air. What love could be greater than this? Needless to recount the story of other provisions, aside the most important activity of breathing in and breathing out – they are aplenty – the food, the education, the employment, the positions, the talents, the skills, the money, the favors and our list is endless. Aren’t these things the purest expression of some love that comes with no condition? You answer is as good as mine.
The flip side is however the issue in this discourse. Ideally, love would have been the one way, the only way. It should have been existing without any rival, enjoying the wide space of existence alone. The world would then have been what is described as a utopian society. I know you’d say this is impossible – yes, but what if it were possible – wouldn’t that have been great?
Who doesn’t like and enjoy a utopic situation – a situation where you would hear no noise of evil, feel no pain – succumb to any torture, be it psychological, physical and otherwise? Who wouldn’t have enjoyed a utopic world, void of any stress cause by another human, at times a peer? World of human-manufactured danger, envy, discrimination, oppression and the list is long.
Who says God, in creating the world didn’t want it to be a wide space of love. Certainly, that was his intention. Of course, it was, just for the mere fact that He still provides life, even when we have gone rampage with tendencies that diametrically oppose His biggest value on which He founded creation – that is love.
And so, we are trapped in circumstances such that misconstruing the notion of love has become the order of the day. Instead of just loving a fellow human as prescribed by the creator, hating them turns out to be easier. Otherwise, what explains the fact that one human could so freely and at times with pleasure, inflict pain on another with little or no remorse? Where is the love button at this time and why are fingers heavy to press on it?
Otherwise, why would one human so selfishly refuse to share with another, even when they are endowed in wealth? Why would one human boldly stand on the way of another, even when the latter’s progress would be beneficial to them as well? Hard to decode, isn’t it?
If love was a very expensive commodity – as expensive as Ferari or a GULF STREAM G-650 Private Jet, one would understand and not throw blame to whoever is unable to afford it. We would not doing justice to people who have no love reserves, if love was as expensive as the cost of Atlanta Super Bowl 53 Mercedez -Benz football stadium.
If the cost of love was comparable to the 1.5billion dollar Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building situated in Dubai, we won’t be obliging you to buy it, when in reality, you cannot afford. The long and short of it therefore is that, you do not have to spend huge sums of money to buy love. You can simply just return it for no cost, after all, God gave His free of any charges.
And if indeed He had to sell it, would you be able to afford God’s love? That is the rhetoric! But then, ainsi va le monde, the French man would say!
Love will constitute one of the themes, addressed in one of the poems to be presented in today’s edition of Apex Anthology – the second after the spectacular come-back of the show. Amongst other poems by Tchassa Kamga, LOVING YOU is in the line-up today. The poet will follow up to explain what he has as message in the poem, plus his journey so far in this great form of Literature that paints life in its own manner – unique to say the least. Tchassa Kamga is our guest poet on the show today. He will be speaking live from the city of Pueblo, one hour 45 minutes away from Colorado’s capital Denver. Tchassa is a prolific writer and has many poems to his credit.
Sharon Dione is our content manager on this show who is also in charge of the spoken word presentations – Ken Shally Monnette is our poetic appreciation resource person, Iggy Mizuh, our poetic guide. They all join Marcel Adig my producer and I in welcoming you to this September the 15th edition of Apex Anthology.
